Making of Atonement

After writing God's Coffin, I wanted the third story of the trilogy to take Wade Garrison on a journey that would give him atonement, and retun him to his wife Sarah, and their son Emmett.

To accomplish this, Wade had to go  away and meet new people and challenges that found the goodness in him he thought he had lost at the Hostkins ranch. I also felt it was time to introduce a new character that was strong, but would not over power Wade.

So I introduced Morgan Hunter, an aging gunfighter from Texas, who was running away from his  own troubled past. Together, I think they compliment one another.
